I made this card for my blogging friend Leonie who I met at convention for the first time this year. She made me a "Edward Bookmark" and sent it to me in the mail with a gorgeous card. I actually thought I had those photographed to load up here with this, but they aren't on my computer or camera, so I obviously haven't got that far yet. Anyway to show my appreciation for the lovely card and bookmark, this is the card I sent to say Thank You. The colours are Regal Rose, Whisper White and Rose Red. I have used the sanded background stamp and the Manhattan Floral Die with the Bigshot. I have then brayered Regal Rose and Rose Red over the top of the die. I got the original idea from Patty Bennett in the states. We made a card similar to this at last nites class and as the girls experienced it takes a bit of practice to get the brayering right. I will post the card we made last nite later on. Oh yeh, only fellow twilight fans will understand what a "Edward Bookmark" is....lol......

Extreme Sports
I needed a birthday card yesterday for a special little man and I found this card on Jayne Mercer's blog which was originally inspired by Michelle Zindoff. I havn't had my brayer out in probably over 12 months so I dusted it off and pulled it out. This is something that I want to play more with this year because I love the look that you can achieve and also because it is so individual each time you do it, you can get a bit different effect. Well I do anyway, lol...., maybe it's just me.....Now I do have to apologise for the photo because it has gone all grainey and the yellow hasn't shown up at all. I tried to photoshop it to make it look better but all to no avail.... I would photograph it again but I have already given it away..... Will be back with some of my projects we made last nite at class.

Emerging Butterfly

Here is another card from the Brayering Class. This is using the Boho Backgrounds and the butterfly out of Garden Whimsy and the saying out of trendy trees. To create this card I have used the style watch in the front of the catalogue to get the colours to match together. We had a couple of sessions on this at convention. I have used this a couple of times now and guess what it works!!!!! So this is my retro butterfly.... Have a lovely nite....or whats left of it anyhow....lol...

Emerging Technique
This was another card we made last weekend for our technique class. The colours are Baja Breeze and Pink Pirrouette. I have used the stamp set cheep talk and Good friend. When I made this I was a bit unsure about it and it was a card that looked nothing like what I first pictured in my head. It just sort of evolved into this.....I sat it aside for a while but it has grown on me now and I quite like it. I think because it didn't turn out as I first imagined I was a little taken back. Anyways here it is and I hope you like it......Tuesday, May 19, 2009
Brayer Basics

Hi Everyone, here is one of the cards we made at my technique class on the weekend. This is another idea I got at convention. Pam Morgan demonstrated this in red and on the front of a box. As soon as I seen her demonstrating this I instantly thought that would look great in brown and on a card to make it seem vintage. I used Close to Cocoa and Confetti Cream and finished with of the clips assortment and Kraft Tafeta ribbon. I am so happy with how this turned out and so where the girls at class.
