Christmas in July

This is one of my Christmas in July cards made using the Snow Swirled stamp set which I first stamped in Versamark, then in Sahara Sand and then sprinkled Clear embossing powder over it and heat embossed it. The colours I have used are Kraft and Riding Hood Red. I added a scalloped piece to the bottom and used our lovely taffeta ribbon as well. Sorry for the quick post tonight but I am in the midst of cleaning my office and then I am going to attack my craft room. Hopefully then I will feel a little more organised and be inspired to create a mess again.....lol.....

ESAD Cyberstamp Colour Challenge

Over at ESAD they are currently running a Cyberstamp with heaps of different challenges going on. I started this card on Thursday Night when it was first posted and got it finished but then had flat batteries and couldn't photograph it until today. The colour challenge was to use So Saffron, Whisper White & Basic Grey and as many items as you can out of the up and coming new Mini Catty. I used the stamp set Soft Summer and coloured it with my Watercolour crayons and then spritzed the stamp with water and then stamped on the paper. This gave a very washed out watercolour look. I then went over it with markers with the two step stampin stamp. I then finished off the card with Walk in the Park DS Paper and some lovely new Designer Brads. They come in Pumpkin Pie, Pretty in Pink, So Saffron & Chocolate Chip, they are very cute.

Sweet Sunday Challenge

Good Morning or perhaps I should say afternoon. I have been going to post this card all morning. I had a bit of a creative nite last nite and made a couple of cards and played along with some challenges. This is the Sweet Sunday Challenge and I have been following it for a while but last nite was the first time I had time to play along. I have been busting to crack open this Choo Choo stamp set along with the Right on Track wheel. Both these are out of the up and coming Catty that you can order from on the 1st August. I teamed it with the Parisian Breeze Specialty DS Paper and those yummy Corduoroy Brads in Baja Breeze. I just followed the colour scheme of Chocolate Chip and Baja Breeze. I also turned the sketch around to suit. Have a great day.....

Keehs Colour Challenge

I have just had soooo much fun stamping. I have finally got some time to play along with one of Keesh's Challenges. I have been following them every week but just havn't found the time to play along. It feels so nice to just sit down and stamp and not feeling pressured into stamping something brillant for a workshop or class. Hey not that I am not saying this card isn't brillant.....lol......The colours for this challenge were Rose Red, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss and Very Vanilla. I have used the Soft Summer set out of the new Mini Catty as well as the Oval all stamp set with the matching Scallop Oval punch. I have used the wide Rose Red ribbon and the small grossgrain Always artichoke ribbon with a silver brad attached around the bow in the centre. I have finished it off with a sprinking of dazzling diamonds on the butterfly and the flower. I hope you are having some time to stamp as well.......

Cracked Rustic Rooster

Here is another one of my cracked glass cards using the Level 2 Hostess set Rustic Rooster. I have coloured my rooster with the markers and then masked him and used the background stamp to stamp around him. I have also used the weathered background stamp on Chocolate chip cardstock, the other colours are Riding Hood Red and Confetti Cream. Hope you are having a wonderful day..... I am about to hit my garden and do some weeding on a lovely sunny winters day.....

Cracked Glass

This is a sneak peak of some of the new products in the New Mini Catty that are going to be released on the 1st August. When I first saw this clock it screamed at me Cracked Glass. I just love how this has turned out. I have used Close to Cocoa & Confetti Cream cardstock with Chocolate Chip Ink and finished with one of those swisho new Corduroy buttons in Baja Breeze. Don't you just love that patterned paper, its called Parisian breeze Speciality and that's out of the new Mini as well. It's a textured cardstock and is just so nice to touch and very appealing to the eye.....I love the whole look of this card and how it has turned out. Sorry about the lack of posts over the last week or so, life has been so busy, I have been preparing for workshops, classes and scrapbooking as well so I have had a bit on as well as every day life. I am itching to get some time to play along with some challenges and do some stamping for myself, so hopefully this will be the week.......

Cheers 2 U

Hi there again, another day another post, I am on a roll.....lol.....Here is a card for the men in your life. The colours are Night of Navy, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I have used the large oval punch, 1 3/8 Circl punch and the Designer Label Punch. I have used one of my all time favourite stamp sets Cheers to you. I have stamped them in Black Stazon and watercoloured them with my More Mustard Watercoloured crayons and my aqua painter. I then covered the beers in Crystal Effects to make them look like glass. I was really happy with the effect. Ok off to finish the ironing now and hopefully some more time for crafting this afternoon......

Pretty Boxes

Hi there, Here is a cute little box that I made for my hostess on the weekend and another little box that we made with a card to match. The first box is made with Baja Breeze cardstock and the Good Friend background stamp. I also used the So Tweet chipboard that inked up with my stamp pads and then covered the flower and sanded around it to give a nice edge with a piece of paper from the Good Morning sunshine pack. I finished off with the ribbons out of the pigtails pack. They are very very cute..... My sentiment is from the really retro stamp set and I also glittered the centre with some supa nova fine glitter.

Everyone then made this cute little box with the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set and some of the different punches. The colours I used here are Pink Pirouette and Kiwi Kiss. I am really happy with how both these boxes turned out. Then to top it all off we made this card to match the little gift box. Have a great day or should I say night.......

Raspberry Tart Thank You Gift

Hi there, Wow I have been trying to get to past for the last week but have only managed to get here today. I must admit life has been extremely busy and I haven't got a lot photographed to show you. I still have some more bleaching cards I want to get photographed and the cards that we made at my monthly afternoon class. I took these photos way back in May but never got to post them so here they are. This was a hostess gift made with the lovely Raspberry Tart DS Paper. Makeesha Byl demonstrated this little bag at convention. It's very cute. I then made the four cards to go inside.
Now these cards were also demonstrated at convention by Marelle Taylor but in different colours I have changed them a bit to make them my own. The colours are Pretty in Pink, Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red and Whisper White.

This card actually has some twine threaded through the hole but I must have been a hurry to take the photo's. Actually I think I remember threading it at the class.

The stamp set used is the party hearty out the Big Catalogue. I did my preorder yesterday for the New Mini Catty that can be ordered from next month, so hopefully I will get some time to have a play with some of that stuff, I actually can't wait to get my hands on it. I will be stalking the posty...lol....If everything goes to plan today I will be back later with some more cards. I would love to get some time to play along with some challenges.....Fingers crossed......

Sweet Little Girl Bleached

I love this stamp set and how this card has turned out. It is just so soft and pretty. This is the A Kind word stamp set and also Simply said for the background. For the background I have stamped in Perfect plum and then highlighted the middles of the flowers with the white gel pen. I have used the white taffeta ribbon with a lovely flowing bow to copy the flowing bows on the little girls dress and hat. And of coarse the girls dress and hat is bleached. This was another card from the weekend's class.

Bleaching your Sorrow

Hi guys, just a quick post tonite so that you don't think I have forgotten all my lovely blog readers. Man things have been busy around here, but that's just my life I guess.....lol....Don't worry I won't bore you with the details.....Now for the card.....Last month's technique class was bleaching which was heaps and heaps of fun. I loved preparing for this class seeing how all the papers changed before your eyes.....just like magic....I used Riding Hood Red and when bleached it threw the colour of Apricot Appeal. So I used a piece of that cardstock on top of my chocolate Chip base card. The stamp set I used was Flower Fancy and the sentiment out of Thoughts & Prayers. Must rush and finish tea now.....cyu....

40th Birthday Card in a hurry!!!

Hi everyone, Life has been so hectic lately that I havn't had time to post that scrapbooking I mentioned in my last post. I will get to it I promise.... I had a 40th Birthday party on Saturday night. I looked through all my cards Saturday arvo thinking I would have a suitable one in my stash but what do you no...absolutely nothing. So I quickly whipped up this card following last weeks Mojo Monday sketch. The base cardstock is Kraft and the DS Paper is Urban Garden. I used the chipboard numbers and left them plain because they matched the craft just nicely. I went to take the photo's with my camera and what do you no flat batteries....So I snapped a shot with my phone that is why it is such a poor shot, sorry bout that. Anyway hopefully I am going to find some time somewhere this week to get back to some more posting. Oh yes and it was a male birthday party if you hadn't already guessed...lol.....

Scrap Challenge 12/6

Hi Everyone this is the Scrap Challenge I set for the ESAD Group this month which comes from pagemaps. I hope you can play along as well. You have until midnight Thursday 18th June to get your entries posted to your blog or a public viewing gallery like photobucket or splitcoast stampers. Please leave your link to your entry here.
Now for my example:

I used the totally tools stamp set which I stamped on basic grey, summer sun and brillant blue and cut out. For the shelf I used a scrap piece of faux woodgrain that was sitting on my desk. I have used So Saffron DS Paper out of the Good Morning Sunshine pack as well as a strip of Night of Navy which I have scalloped with the scallop edge punch. I love the carousel notes out of the catalogue they just made this page I reckon and the colour of the note is Riding Hood Red.

I liked it so much I also made one in pink for Josephine's album. I don't always copy the same layout in each album but because I liked this one so much I did the same layout for both albums.

Here is a close up of the tools for you:

I am looking forward to seeing all your entries. Have fun with it........
