Pretties Kit

I have been busting to use the pretties kit since I got my box of goodies last thursday but I just havn't been able to get to it. Last nite I sat down for the first time and had a play with the pretties kit..... and I 'm lovin it..... This card was inspired by a friend of mine who loves shabby chic.....(i think she has it in her bedroom, so when you are reading this you will no who you are). I started with white card stock and brushed around the edges with pretty in pink ink then mounted some of the new textured paper in pretty in pink (which I am also loving). Then I stuck with glue dots the large flower which i touched up with a sponge dauber and pretty in pink ink. I stuck a pearl in the middle of the flower and three down the bottom of the card. I faux stitched around the white cardstock and stamped happy mothers day in pretty in pink. This stamp is out of the Occassional Greetings stamp set. Then I had some fun with the hat pin and some clear beads and pearls. Tada there you have it a beautiful mothers day card...... I hope you like it.....

Faux Tiling

I held a technique class on the weekend and this was one of the cards we made. Using the Faux tiling technique we used the blossoms abound stamp set and stamped with pale plum and perfect plum and used the cardstock to match. I will post some of the other cards we made as well. We had a lovely day of stamping. I will be running these every month if any one is interested.....

Male Birthday Card

I made this card for my brother who is a builder so I think the nuts and bolts theme gos quite well. I used Sahara Sand cardstock and ink and basic black cardstock and I embossed with silver on the Sahara Sand cardstock and finished with some twine. This wheel is now deleted from the current catalogue but i made this for the end of march, but I took a while to post it.
