Mojo Monday Challenge No 71

I made this card for the Mojo Monday challenge although it is already friday. I have been having a little challenge with myself to do the challenges with some stamp sets that I havn't used in a while. Boatloads of love being one of them. I found it very lonely on the bottom of one of my stamp stacks. There are a few down there that need some more TLC, so in the coming weeks I hope to get some of them out and ink them up......I have used my brand spankin new cuttlebug embossing folder that was in my mailbox today. I can tell I will be getting some use out of this I love it..... I have teamed that up with the striped paper out of the Spring Break DS Paper pack. I coloured the boat with ink pads and my aquapainter. I hope you are all staying out of this heat we are having.... In all my wisdom I decided to wash the bathroom walls today in over 40 degree heat......smart arn't I.......I think I was wetter than the walls from all the perspiration.....

Keeshs Inspiration challenge

I have left Keesh's challenge right to the last minute basically because I have had no inspiration. I found this really hard but anyway this is what I have come up with. Firstly I stamped the sanded background onto Choc Chip cardstock then I took a piece of white and stamped the leaves out of the embrace life set in choc chip ink and coloured them in with my choc chip marker. I then stamped the flowers out of petal prints in basic basic and ruby red and bashful blue using the two step stampin process. I then ripped my piece of paper and sponged all the way around in Choc chip ink. I cut out and mounted three ruby red flowers and highlighted them with the white gel pen. I then sponged over the entire thing with So saffron ink. I am actually quite pleased with the result. This certainly had me thinking outside the square. Oh and by the way the congrats is actually stuck straight on the card but I have taken the photo all wonky....but its to late to get another one now......

Mel's Challenge

Mel's challenge this week was to make any card any colour out of a one sheet wonder. I only got time to make one card out of my one sheet wonder but can do some more at a later date because I have a whole page already stamped. I wanted to use a different colour this week, I just felt when I get to choose the colours I always go for something safe that I have used a thousand times. So I got out my colour coach and spun it around to cameo coral. I really like this colour but don't use it heaps. The matching colours were Ballet Blue and So Saffron. I am happy with the way it turned out and I used the Polka dot sale-a-bration set for a bit of fun. Don't forget we only have a little over a month to get your orders in over $100 to get a free sale-a-bration set.

Flower Fusion

I have been having a play with the Flower Fusion out of the Summer Mini Catalogue. Firstly I made this card for my workshop last weekend with the Bali Breeze Papers, the Flower Fusion and the Sale-a-bration set botanical blooms. I loved how this card turned out. I then tried my hand at this little mini flower pot card that I found over at Stampin School. It was so cute that I couldn't wait to have a go at it. I have taken the two photo's which show how the inside of the card just slips into the pot. I just love this idea, and am loving the flower fusion.

So if you to have fallen in love with the flower fusion. I am offering a third share for $10.00 not including postage or the tin. If you are interested please contact me or send me an email. I filled heaps of places at my last workshop but still have a couple left. I hope you all had a great Australia Day as we did. We spent it with some great friends, we had a bbq and a swim so we didn't melt on such a hot day. So Happy Australia Day!!!!!

Cuttlebug Challenges

Last nite I sat down to make a card for the Cuttlebug Challenge this week but changed my mind and did a scrapbooking page instead. This week's challenge was a sketch challenge and it was from guest designer Becky Fleck. The colours are Sahara Sand, Blush Blossom and Night of Navy. I considered some journalling but decided the setiment said it all "I'm glad there is You". I was really happy with how this page turned out. I will definately be using my cuttlebug on my scrapbooking pages from now on. It is probably a bit hard to see but all the circles and shapes have been embossed with the cuttlebug using a couple of different folders. I hope you like it and are staying out of the heat today.

Plain & Simple

This will be a rather quick post tonite! I have had this idea rolling around in my head for a little while now and finally got the urge to get it out and onto paper so to speak. The colours are Mellow Moss and Always Artichoke. I used the Polka dot sale a bration set and In the spotlight stamp set with some embossed spots from my cuttlebug scraps and also the ribbon from the theatre ribbon pack. I hope all have all the details, if not please email me. I crafted until late last nite and my two little cherubs decided to wake at 5.30 this morning when the truck came to load sheep. So it has been a very long day!!!! Hence, now my bed is calling me........

Oh yes and I also used textured going grey paper which I run through my cuttlebug.

Keeshs Colour Challenge

I needed a 3 year old birthday card today and I also was surfing Keesh's blog with her new colour challenge and decided to set myself a challenge of combining the both. Here is the finished product. The colours are Blue Bayou, Ruby Red, Chocolate Chip & Very Vanilla. Yes it is very vanilla although it looks white. I may have adjusted it a little to hard in my photo editing software. I used the little car out of the By Land stamp set and stamped it on Ginger Blossom DS Paper and cut it out. This stamp set is a full image not an outline so I just run my chocolate chip marker around the outside lines before I stamped it, which also gives the car a little bit of a vintage look. I also sponged around the 3 star in choc chip to tie it in. I then had a little play with my cuttlebug embossing folders. I also stamped the a wish for you star in blue bayou. This stamp is in the stars stamp set in the Summer Mini Catty. Hope you like it and are having a great nite!

Colour Challenge

I set a colour challenge for my ladies two weeks ago and again forgot to post it on here. I am just getting around to doing my example for it today. I will post the entries on Sunday after my workshop. The challenge came from the Complete Garden. The colours were Garden Green, River Rock, Whisper White and Brillant Blue. For my card I used the Sale-a-bration set Yummy and coloured with my markers. I stamped weathered on my base in garden green and used the scallop edge punch to punch the edge of the river rock card. We don't have any brillant blue ribbon so I coloured mine with my markers.

Mojo Monday Challenge No 69

Well I should be slicing and dicing for a workshop that I have on Sunday but instead I find myself having a little play with the Mojo Monday Challenge. Much more fun.... For this card I have used the Jersey Shore DS Papers and run a strip of Brillant Blue through my cuttlebug. I then stamped the Birthday cake out of Big Bold Birthday and used the Chunky glitter for the icing. I punched out some stars and circles and stamped the big star with In the stars stamp set. I also did some stitching around the outside of the circle but is a little hard to see in this piccy. I think I have mentioned everything, if not just ask...... Ok back to my workshop prep now and then some sleep i think.....

Scrapbook Sketch

I went to complete another another challenge after posting the last one and Keesh's Challenge just keep jumping back into my head. So I packed away the card's and got out some photo's and decided to have a go at my first ever Scrapbooking Sketch. As you can see I followed the sketch on my last post. I used the Notebook DS Paper and Soft Sky and Basic Black Textured Paper. I finished off with a rubon from the New Mini Catty and some Jumbo Eyelets.... Now I probably should think about some sleep!!

Something Cool

Keesh posted her weekly challenge last friday and I finally had time today to play. I turned on my desk lamp so I could get some good light before I started stamping and with the heat of the light and the heat of the day the only thing I could think of is "stamp something cool"!!!!!! So I went for Summer by the sea stamp set and the little boy by the beach and some nice and cool neutral tones. I was really happy with the result although it really didn't cool me down any. It's meant to be even hotter tomorrow being 38 degrees. I got pretty close to a brown snake yesterday! Heat and snakes not my thing at all!!!!!! Ok back to the card! I stamped the background with Sanded and used the Notebook DS Paper and Textured Soft Sky. I stamped the image on watercolour paper and coloured it with markers and an aqua painter. I did the shirt with Soft sky reinker that is why it is a little darker. Cyu next post!!!

Mel's Challenge

Finally a card! I made this card for Mel's Colour Challenge. The colours were Barely Banana, Orchid Opulence, Certainly Celery & Whisper White. Plus you had to use Kissing as a Technique and Dimensionals. So this was the card that I came up with well after midnight last night when I really should have been sleeping but just wanted to get this done. I used fabulous flowers which I have kissed with baroque motifs. I also stamped Baroque motifs on the base of the cardstock. I finished off with some stitching and a rhinestone. The setiment is from It's your birthday. I must say when I looked at the colours I thought oh no there is no way I can do that! But I am really happy with how this card turned out. My orchid opulence stamp pad had never seen a stamp before this challenge so maybe now I have used it, I might pull it out more often. Have a fantastic day!

Calendar Page

Today I thought I would show you January's Calendar Page that I have made as this year's calendar. Hopefully, if I remember I will show you each month's page. Although I must admit it is a still a work in progress I have up until June completed so I only have six months to go....lol.... I have good intentions of starting next years calendar lots earlier this year so I might have the twelve months done by the end of the year! Most of these products that I have used were in the old Spring Mini but hopefully we might see some of them flow through to the new catty! I havn't been creating heaps at the moment because we have been shearing. I have taken some cute photo's of the kids in the wool. They love this time of year and we have a new puppy which they love even more. I have been working in the shed so of a night when I do most of my creating I have been sleeping instead!!!!

Birthday Card

I made this card for my Dad's Birthday. I actually enjoyed sitting down and having a play with watercolouring today. I usually get a little worried when I start to watercolour because I worry about the end result. I still don't think I am very good at it but I really liked how this card has turned out. When I watercolour I generally use Watercolour paper, Markers and an the aqua painter. Today I used a Blender Pen instead of the Aqua Painter and was really surprised by the results. This stamp is from the For Father stamp set. The colours are Chocolate Chip and Garden Green. I have also used a Metal Tag and HB out of the It's your Birthday stamp set. Oh yes I nearly forgot the Background has been stamped with the Sanded Background stamp. Have a great day wherever you may be.......

Still no cards

Sorry still no cards to show but more scrapbooking. I have been working on cards for my upcoming class but nothing to show yet. I created this page using the It's Beautiful wheel and A beautiful thing stamp set with Gable Green.
