Snow Swirled Christmas

Hi everyone, I am just popping in here quickly to show you another of the Christmas Cards that I have made this year. I just loved snow swirled when it was first released in our Catty this year. I have used Baja breeze, Not quite Navy and Whisper White. I also used the sanded background stamp and the sentiment is from occasional greetings. I finished with a Rhinestone brad and some dazzling diamonds. Ok I am now off the attack the house today. I am having a cleaning day and have half started heaps of jobs, I have the vacuuming half started, the ironing, the beds stripped the washing up started and the kids are cleaning up there toys because Santa just won't come to a messy house.....lol......So I need to actually focus and get one of those jobs completed.....If I don't get back here before Christmas....I wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!!!!!

Male Christmas Card

I needed a couple of Male Christmas Cards so I didn't want them to fancy, so this is what I came up with. The colours are Old Olive, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White. I have used the Holly Jolly Christmas Stamp Set. This was a pretty simple card to make so there isn't really much to tell you about how to do it. I hope you are all getting organised for Christmas....Not long now......

Teachers Gifts

I have seen then floating around blog land on a few different blogs but am not sure who the original creator is. I made my own measurements to fit the hot chocolate sachets that I had. I made the boxes using Night of Navy, Whisper White & Brocade Blue, I also used the same colours on the card but also added some vellum cardstock. I am sorry about the quality of the photo's but I was rushing out the door yesterday morning and realised I forgot to photograph the cards and the presents. It was Nicholas last day at preschool yesterday! I carn't believe how quickly they grow up.....Now you can see the inside of the box well that side was filled with lindt and darrell lea chocolates when it was given to the teachers. I just didn't have any on hand when I took the piccy.....Lucky I would say because I would have only eaten them anyway.......

Baby Card

Hey there, Hows the Christmas rush being treating you?..... Why do we always try to to jam to much into these last couple of weeks? I guess thats just part of Christmas, well for me anyway....lol....I thought I would pop in here and show you this Baby card I made last week its very cute. The idea isn't mine I copied it but again I carn't find out where. I had just saved this picture and made up my own measurements, it is very handy now having the 1 3/4" circle punch because that is what I used for the neck and the arms. The pockets are just what was cut from the neck. I finished with a rub-on and some stitching all around. I hope you like it.....

Christmas Card

I made this cards the other day for some of friends that I had lunch with. I used the sweet treat cups which hasn't photographed very good but it is a quarter filled with glitter to give the effect of snow in a snow globe. I used the wish for peace stamp set and coloured with my old olive and chocolate chip markers. I think everything else is pretty straight forward, if not just ask..... I have been scrapbooking and not card making so I will have some more pages to share with you soon......Have a good day......

ESAD Summer Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to the ESAD-SU Summer Mini Blog Hop. ESAD - Extremely Special Aussie Demonstrators is a yahoo group dedicated to Australian Stampin Up Demonstrators where we share heaps of ideas and tips with each other as well as offer support and encouragement.

Now a bit about my project. I have used the Kaleidoscope DS Papers and teamed a Close to Cocoa heading that has been wheeled with Retro Remix Wheel in Close to Cocoa Ink. I also added some Rub on dots from the Dots & Designs Rub-ons. Now I just love those Crocheted flowers. I punched out some Close to Cocoa cardstock and added a cute pink button from the Sherbet collection threaded with some Linen thread and popped those on top of the flowers with a glue dot. I just loved how this has turned out and I think those crocheted flowers have just made the page.

Now to go and see the rest of the projects made by my fellow ESAD friends just follow this link to Narelle Hodges blog and then she will have a link to the next blog and hopefully you will end up back here where you started. If you would love to win some fabulous blog candy just leave a comment on all of the 30 blogs that are participating in this blog hop. Have fun hopping along.....

Hey there, I have been having a bit of a muck around with my scrapbooking lately, so here is a piccy of one of my last pages I have done. Christmas last year.....eeeekkk, I thought I had better get cracking with Christmas this year just around the corner. Nothing like being behind in your scrapbooking hey..... I used the snow swirled stamp set and red rhinestone brads which I took out of there silver holders just leaving the rhinestones themselves. I have also used the new circle scissors to cut the large circles and the 1 3/4" circle punch to cut the green circles which I then embossed with my cuttlebug. The colours I have used are Real Red, Handsome Hunter and Basic Black..... I followed the latest sketch from scrapsketch for my layout. I am loving there sketches at the moment.
To celebrate the Summer Mini going live on Tuesday I am participating in the ESAD-SU blog hop where you will have the chance to hop from blog to blog and view some fantastic projects all made with new stuff out of the Summer Mini. Scrapbook Page

Hi there, I am back from a lovely weekend in Sydney for regionals, Two of my friends and myself left on friday and came back on Sunday. We had an excellant time, but then it was back to the real world. I have had two days of kindy orientation and now hopefully I can stay home for the week and catch up on all my jobs around here. Which seriously includes dust and bug removal. We had a massive dust storm when I was in Syndey and the night before I left came the bugs by the millions so I have only half cleaned up. Here is a scrapbook page I have done while playing with my circle scissors. I just love it for scrapbooking and we got some more fantastic ideas for its use at regionals..... I carn't wait to play with it some more... Hopefully this afternoon I am going to get some time in for stamping I want to have a play with the sweet treat cups.... While we were in Sydney we took the opportunity to go and see New Moon part two of the twilight saga. I must say I really loved the movie, it was great, I carn't wait till it comes out on DVD.... I would certainly go and see it again, I have always been Team Edward but gee after seeing that movie I might be swapping teams, anyone who has seen the movie will no what I mean......lol..... Here is a piccy of a couple of twi-hards....lol.....What can I say we just had heaps of fun.....We were trying to pose right not to get to many chins.....another tip from regionals.....lol....

You have to love those butterflies.......

Scrapbook Page

I have been having a play today with some of my photo's. I Scrapbooked Nicholas's Preschool Concert with the I wish simply scrappin kit. I cut the heading out with my Cricut Machine using the Design Studio software where I welded the letters together. This is my new toy at the moment, with heaps of thanks to Jenny for buying it for me for my birthday. I just love this software it is brillant. It gives me so many options, I am sure I am only using just a few..... Practice makes perfect...... Sorry but I decided to blurr out the photo's because it wasn't just my children involved, but you will get the general idea of the page anyhow.....It was a really really simple page to complete because everything was in the scrappin kit.

I also had a play with the New Circle Scissors today out of the upcoming Summer Mini Catty. I can say I just love it, it is sooooo easy to cut your circles with......I have heaps of really nice things in my box that arrived yesterday, I am just not sure what to play with next....lol....

Circle Thanks

I had some time to play along with Keesh's Challenge this week. It has been soooo long since I have played along, it really can be quite theraputic stamping at times..... The colours for the Challenge were Chocolate Chip, Really Rust, Close to Cocoa and Very Vanilla. These are the colours I have used here with my Circle Circus stamp and the thanks so much is from Trendy Trees. I finished the card of with a Silver Paper clip and some twine. I needed a Thank you card for a male to this fits the bill I think.......

XMas Cards

I have had fun playing with the Christmas Classics stamp set today. I wanted to make a friend of mine some Christmas Cards as a thank you gift. So I pulled out my Christmas Classics stamp set and stamped away. I have just focused the cards around this set and just made multiple's of each card. For the first three of the cards I used the same layout and just changed the stamp and the colour. Then I tried something a little different for the last card using my markers and some of the scrap DSP that I had laying around from cutting for the Girls Night In. The paper is from the Ski Slope DSP series in the Spring Mini which we will be saying Goodbye to at the end of the month. So if you think you would like to stock up on anything out of the mini just give me a call so I can get it for you......Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday......

Birthday Card

My cousin had a Birthday this week and I seen this card on someone's blog ages ago and just remembered it in my head as to how to make it.......I actually don't no how close I got to the real thing because it sort of has created (or recreated) in my head for a while now..... I just think black and white together look really stunning. I have used Brocade Motifs and Great Friend's and the Scallop Edge Punch. I finished it off with some pearls in the body of the butterfly's. I had my Girl's Night In last nite so now I have finished with that I will be able to show you some of the things we made as well as have some time to play and post a little more.....

Sympathy Card

I am so sorry I haven't got much posted on here of late but the truth is that I haven't really being creating that much. Life has been busy here on the farm, we have been trying to get hay carted in. So hopefully after I have finished with that job I might get back to regular posting. This is a card I made the other day using the Thoughts & Prayers stamp set. The colours are Brocade Blue and Chocolate Chip (my favourite). I had finished off with some matching ribbon and silver brads. Ok back to the truck for me, have a great day........

Soap Box

I needed to make a box to put some handmade soaps in that I bought for a friend's birthday present. I was so happy with how it turned out. I wanted to be able to see the soaps through the top so I cut it out and filled it with a piece of acetate. I teamed Kraft and Pink Pirrouette together which is another one of my favourite colour combinations. I used the organic outlines stamp set which I am actually loving as well at the moment. I think everything else is pretty easy to work out. Just ask me if you are unsure.......

Bithday card for a friend

Here is a card I made as a Birthday card for a friend. I have recreated this card a few times now with several different colours and I am always happy with how it turns out. The colours I have used here are Kraft, Chocolate Chip and Old Olive. I got the inspiration for this card from the Cuttlebug Challenges site, one of the DT members posted it on there. It is using the organic outlines stamp set and I have then run it through my cuttlebug to emboss it. I am really liking this stamp set at the moment and you will probably see a few more creations with it......

Shadow Box Card

Hi there everyone, Seems I best apologise for my last of posts over the last two weeks, I carn't believe it has been that long. The first week I was keep busy preparing for my weekends class and I had visitors that weekend as well. My visitor actually bought the twilight DVD home with her, so that seen me in BigW on Monday purchasing all 4 books to the twilight series. So that has what has been keeping me from here all week. I started reading Monday night when I got home and am happy to say that I finished them yesterday, but also a tad unhappy as well because they were sooooo goood I would love to read another 4. Ok enough about my life I guess it's time to talk about the card. This is a Shadow Box Card and I have used the Pariasian Breeze DS Papers together with Kraft, Chocolate Chip, Night of Navy and Baja Breeze. I have used the Uncharted Territory Stamp set and I have stamped that on a piece of actetate with the White Staz On Ink Pad. I have also then layered the Night of Navy and Chocolate Chip Sail underneath. I finished off with some white brads. I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

Birthday Card

I started making this card the other day for Keesh's Challenge however I just couldn't get the colours right and I needed to use green for the stems so I swapped over So Saffron for Baja Breeze and then Real Red wasn't right, so I swapped that one for Riding Hood Red. I had to make a Birthday card for a friend as well so that it what this has turned into with nothing like the colours for Keesh's Challenge. Isn't it funny how cards evolve sometimes. So the colours I ended up using are Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red and Old Olive. If you scroll done a post or so you will see the Colours for Keesh's Challenge nothing alike..............Anyway I was really happy with how this turned out. The stamp sets are Live like you mean it and Think Happy Thoughts. I used the Button Bouquet buttons which is what makes the card i think........I am off to do some creating for this weekends class. Have a lovely night......

Scrap Challenge 11/9

It is my turn to set the monthly scrap challenge on the ESAD yahoo group today, here is my example and it comes to us courtesy of Scrapsketch. You have until midnight Thursday 17th September 2009 to link your entries here. I hope you get time to play along.... Most importantly have fun with it.....

Keesh's Colour Challenge

Hi, I hope you are all having a fabulous day because I am. I am having a child free day today which is a total rare occassion for me. One of my good friends has taken Josephine for the day and Nicholas is at school. It is very quite around here. I went for a lovely walk this morning around the farm, just me and my old dog, he thought it was great, just like old times, old being the operative word, we are both much slower these days....lol..... I have been in my craft room, stamping, I am preparing for class next weekend and I thought I would have a play along with Keesh's Colour Challenge. I was a bit unsure at first, the colours were Real Red, So Saffron, Regal Rose & Whisper White. But I can happily say that these colours do work together. I made a skirt for the bottom of my card with So Saffron DS Paper. I was meant to be making curtains for Josephine's room today, but I have all my sewing stuff packed away to make room for the stamping stuff, I just wasn't in the mood for it, but I guess it must have been still on my mind because it's appeared on the card....lol....The stamp set is Flower Fancy and I have used a Hat pin out of the pretties Kit. Must go and clean up my desk....you should see the mess.......

Birthday Boy

Today is my DS Birthday so I thought I would pop on here and share with you his birthday card that I have just finished making, talk about organised. With all the running around today and the cake decorating, I didn't get time to make him a card, so I will have this waiting for him in the morning. I am sure he wasn't so concerned with the card just the presents......lol... I have used Night of Navy, Ballet Blue & Yo Yo Yellow. Yellow is his favourite colour so the card had to have yellow on it....... I have cut a piece of acetate the same size as the navy cardstock and stamped in white stazon and then under neath I have doodled with the while gel pen the bits and pieces around the rocket that I had cut off. I then put them together and used the yellow eyelets (retired) to keep them together. The rocket is cut out and stuck on the top of the acetate with dimentionals. I then also decorated inside the card. I love how this has turned out because it has a nice shinny glow about it, just like space would I imagine..... I got the inspiration for a card I had saved on my computer but it has no watermark on it and I have no idea now where it came from, so if it is yours just let me no so I can give you some credit. Oh and the stamp sets I used are Pun Fun & Good Friend......Hope you are having a wonderful nite.......

Here is a little box I made for my Hostess on the weekend, the colours are Night of Navy, Kiwi Kiss & DS Paper out of the Urban Garden pack. The stamp sets I have used are Petal Pizzazz & Think Happy Thoughts. I have also used the star brads which are quite snassy. I saved the link to the blog somewhere for the tutorial to give credit to the original maker but I have just lost it at the moment, so I will have to get back to you with that one. Hang on a sec, here it is here.
Hope you are having a wonderful day.......Will be back tomorrow with some of the projects we made....

Keesh's Challenge & B'Day card all in one

I sat down last nite on a mission because I had to have a birthday card for my husband for tomorrow and to start preparing for a workshop on the weekend. I started off by making the card above for my DH. I used my signature colour again, Chocolate Chip....lol.....I combined it this time with so safron and Vanilla. Its really hard to see with this piccy but I have used a piece of Vellum and stamped the Wonderful husband on that and the trees are stamped directly on the so saffron with the vellum placed on top. I got the vellum idea for this out of the current US Catty. I was left over with heaps of scraps on my table and I also had the sketch challenge for Keesh's Challenge sitting there as well, so I decided to make a matching card for the kids to give Dad as well using Keesh's sketch. I used the same principal just added Always articoke cardstock and some brads. I still didn't get any preparation done, I guess that's tonites job....

Male Birthday Card

I really do like this colour combination of Chocolate Chip & More Mustard. I seem to grab these colours all the time when I am making a male card. I have used the Cheers to you stamp set and stamped it black stazon onto watercolour paper. I have coloured it with my More Mustard Marker and an Aqua Painter.I also stamped the inside of the card as well. No I have photographed it I can write on it.....

Candles Candles Candles

Hi here are some of the candles we made at my weekend class and some others I made this morning for a stall that I am having tomorrow. I have used a range of different stamps and colours trying to get some variety but I really had to make two with Inspired by Nature and Upsy Daisy two of my all time favourite stamp sets. It's only a quick post today because I am trying to get some things crossed off my list of to do's today and things haven't really being going to plan...You no how sometimes you get days like that, no matter how hard you try to get things done it just doesn't happen. I can see a late nite ahead of me tonite to get organised for tomorrow.....

Scrap Challenge 14/8

Hey there sorry for the lack of posts this week. I have been busy preparing for this Sunday's class but the upside to that is I will have heaps of things to show you next week. It's my turn again this month to upload my Scrap Challenge to the ESAD demonstrator group. This month's challenge is a little different from the past ones. The challenge is to just use something on your page out of the Spring Mini Catalogue, it can be DS Paper, Stamps, Rubons, Ribbon or just a brad. Anything you like, as little or as much as you like.

Now for my example I am actually using one of my good friends and downline's page for this example. We have been working on her new Baby's album and it is just looking fantastic....

She has used the Parisian Breeze DS Papers, Right on Track and Choo Choo. I just love this page and the layout and of course her cute little man. Thanks Jenny for letting me show off your page....

You have until midnight Thursday 20th August to get your entries linked here. I hope you all have some fun with this. Happy Scrappin.....

Covered Journal

This is the Journal I promised from yesterday's post. I made it to keep all my notes in for my

cricut machine. You no how sometimes you cut a particular size and then you can't remember what size it was or exactly what font it is. So problem solved for somebody with a bad memory like me, just write it down.....lol.....I have a group of ladies that come to my place once a month for scrapbooking lessons and I use my cricut machine so I have dedicated different pages for those ladies so that if I cut something for them it is also written down. I have used the Bella Rose DS Papers which are simply divine. I have used some chipboard letters which I have heat embossed with my heat and stick powder and then the Chocolate Supernova Fine Glitter. I have used one of the flower chipboards as a bookmark as well. I got this idea from Sam Post where she did a similar journal and used a bookmark as well. I am really happy with my little journal that will be put to good use......
