More Entries

I am back with Kylie's entries. Kylie has used the Season of Joy Christmas set on a Birthday Card and for the sketch she has used Wild about you with the now retired treehouse paper. I wish you all a healthy, safe and happy new year.

Some Challenge Entries

I just scrolled back on my blog to see where I posted the challenge I set for my customers but realised I never posted it. Oh dear! It must have been the silly season.... But anyways the entries close today and here are two that Katrina has made. The first one is a colour challenge with the colours Kraft, Blush Blossom, Pale Plum and Whisper White and the second one is a sketch challenge that Keesh had set on her blog a while ago. Hopefully I will be back later with some more entries......

Scrapbooking

I have no cards to show you, but I have been doing something crafty "scrapbooking". I will get back to cards but at the moment I have been enjoying catching up on some of my scrapbooking. This page uses Jersey Shore DS Paper and Night of Navy. I have cut the letters out with my cricut machine and used a rubon for the letters. Those rubons are now retired. I stamped the images out of the ABC Images and watercoloured them. I hope you are having a great day wherever you are.....

All about family

One of my customers and good friends emailed me this picture today. She made this card for her daughter from her son-in-law and grandson. They were giving pandora's as a present and she came up with this card to give with the present. I thought it was a great idea if you are giving pandora's as a present just tie them on. Daddy's got one and so does max. I'm guessing the colours are Wild Wasabi and Real red. The stamp set is all in the family and short and sweet. Thanks for emailing me this, I couldn't wait to share it all with you. I think it's just so clever......

This card is made using the Carousel Notes in Soft Sky and the Love Bird Rubons and the lovely Live your dream stamp set. I mounted the Carousel Notes on Chocolate Chip cardstock which I cut to size to fit inside the chocolate chip envelopes that comes with the carsousel notes. I then added the rubon and stamped the flowers and butterfly and cut them out. I used one of my handheld circle punches to punch around the scallops and then stamped the for you with the say it with scallops and cut it out with square scallop punch and added a little ribbon behind it to finish it off.

Another Keesh Challenge

I made this card for Keesh's Inspiration Challenge, I was trying to match the cushion on the left hand side of the picture. I used the Illuminated wheel and wheeled in Versamark then heat set it with heat and stick powder, then dazzling diamonds and heat set again. So then I matched the cushion exactly a black background with a dazzling diamond border.........BORING for a card so I had to invent how to dress it up a little...... Well no wonder I am so late with my entry because I found this so hard....... So I came up with the Square Metal Tags and spotlighting a part of the border. I will stamp the other square when I find an occassion to use this card. Keesh works so hard at bringing these to us every week I really do love to play along, but gee this week I struggled......Its great to get out of your comfort zone occassionally!!!!

Yesterday while I was checking out Karen's blog I also found another lovely card that I wanted to case. This is my take on it. The colours are Pretty in pink, regal rose, mellow moss and always artichoke. I also used my trusty old stamp-a-ma-jig to line everything up just beautifully. This is a gorgeous stamp set to use......

Thank You card

I needed a thank you card last nite and I decided I wanted to use the colour Blush Blossom so I pulled out my colour coach and turned to blush blossom and the colours that matched were Certainly Celery and Always Amethyst and what do you no they actually match. The colour coach is a very handy tool to have....... I used the Eastern Blooms stamp set out of the summer mini catty and the thank you out of short and sweet. I added some cert celery brads to the flowers and also coloured the insides with the white gel pen. The background is stamped in blush blossom with the flower out of short and sweet and the centres are highlighted with the white gel pen also. I finished with some faux stitching and some certainly celery ribbon......Have a great day..

Blog Award

I received this award from a fellow blogging friend Robyn at Rainbows by Robyn. Check out her blog it's very inspirational. Thanks so much Robyn for passing the award onto me. I really do appreciate it. Now part of this award is that I need to pass it onto 5 other people i think. But that is going to have to wait for another day. I am a bit strapped for time today and have a few things going on around here, hence the lack of regular posts. I am hoping to get a challenge completed later on tonite, so hopefully I will be back to load that on for you all to look at. Thanks again Robyn for your award!

Scrapbooking Page

Goodmorning Everyone! I have finally decided to show you some of my scrapbooking. I realised I have been putting my cards on here but not my scrapbooking. So today is the day to introduce you to my scrapbooking. When I scrapbook I like to use a 12 x 12 page and for me its a story with photo's, so I like to use a lot of photos to a double page. I hope you like my style because after looking around other people blogs it is a little different. Ok down to the details, I used Kraft, Brocade Blue, Mellow Moss, Close to Cocoa and Confetti Cream cardstock. Inks were Sahara Sand, Close to Cocoa, Brocade Blue, Mellow Moss & So Saffron. The stamp sets I used were Life's a Breeze, Something Fishy jumbo wheel & Enjoy Every Moment out of the Spring Mini Catalogue, Remember tomorrow is the last day for ordering this one......It's a great set.....

Kids Christmas Decorations

I had some fun the other day with the kids doing same kiddy craft. We decided to make some Christmas Decorations with "Mummy's Stampin Stuff" - OMG!!!!! I took a few big deep breaths and handed an ink pad each to my two year old and four year old. They had an absolute ball but to their dismay Mummy had to do the glitter bit. The colours were picked by Nicholas and Josephine. Nicholas wanted a yellow decoration and Josephine wanted a Pink decoration. So that is what we have made. We used the Chipboard pieces out of the Spring Mini Catty, only a couple of days left for ordering these.... I then stuck a piece of acetate to the back using tombow and then filled it with chunky glitter and then stuck another piece of acetate on the top to keep all the glitter in. We then punched a hole with the Cropadile and set a large eyelet and threaded some ribbon through. We had to have a Merry Christmas on there so we stamped that on a piece of white and punched it out and stuck to another piece of chipboard. The kids had heaps of fun.......

Keeshs Sketch

This was one of the first sets that I fell in Love with in the new Summer Mini Catty. I have been busting to use it and this was the perfect opportunity, Keesh's Sketch Challenge. This little puppy reminds me off our new chocolate brown kelpie that the kids have named "Choc" short for Chocolate......That is why the puppy is watercoloured in Choc Chip. Ok I have used Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel and Close to Cocoa for the coloured and I have watercoloured using the crayons and the aqua painter. I have used two Background stamps being sanded and weathered. The puppy stamp is out of the For Father set.

Mel's Challenge

I made this card for Mel's Challenge, which was to make a Christmas card out of Non-traditional Christmas colours. I used Soft Sky, Close to Cocoa and Confetti Cream. The stamp set I used is Season's of Joy. Oh yes and I also used a bit of DS Paper out of the notebook range.
