Scap Pages

I am just popping on here quickly to wish you all a Happy New Year for tonite and of course a Merry Christmas which has already passed. I have been super busy here on the farm so I really have not made any cards for ages. I have been scrapbooking in my spare time. I am determined to get some done so I have been leaving it out and every time I walk past I have been doing a little bit.

This is a double page layout that I have just completed. When we finally finish harvest I might get some more done. Hope all my readers are well and my thoughts are with you, all those Queenslanders out there that have been effected by all this rain. Its amazing how quickly things can change who would have thought this time last year how much rain could fall.....

Scrapbook Page

Well after another long spell from blogging I am finally back. I did a scrap page today the first page, I hope, of many now that I have started. RL has been extremely busy here, we just managed to get harvest started and have now been stopped because of the unbelievable rainfall that we have received. We pretty much had a river running through our place, I have never ever seen water like it. Anyways that is one thing that we cannot change is the weather. All the supplies I have used here are stampin up and are pretty straight forward but if you have any questions, please just ask.....cyu next time.....

Just Believe

I used my trusty colour coach for this card by chosing Marina Mist and these were the matching colours. I do like this colour combination together it is really striking. I think everything is pretty straight forward the only thing you may not have seen before is the embossing folder which is called Square Lattice and that will be available in the Summer Mini to order from the 1st December. The ribbon is still on promotion till the end of the month. Have a great day......

Black & White

Black & White are such striking colours together, I just love that classic look. I have used the black & white grosgrain stripe ribbon and an antique brad secured around the ribbon. I used the Friends 24-7 stamp set with the butterflies embossed with the bigshot and stuck them on top and finished that off with another favourite of mine, the rhinestone brads, I just love those things, they make sticking them so easy. I also used the Happy Birthday out of the Curly & Cute stamp set. I hope you are getting some crafting time in this Sunday...... Oh yes, I nearly forgot I also used some shimmer paint on the butterflies.....

Stamped Canvas

I woke to a rainy old morning this morning and as soon as my feet hit the floor I just felt like crafting. I would love to say "soooo I just crafted" but I had to do the housework first, yes boring, I no.....lol..... Anyway I have been tossing this idea around in my head for a while now. I seen these on a wall at the hairdressers ages ago. So I decided to make my own Stampin Up version of a "Girls clip board". I have sponged all over with Pink Pirouette and then just around the edges with crumb cake. I then stamped Baroque Motifs in Crumb cake directly on the canvas. I used En Francis Background stamp in Crumb Cake then stamped the Medallion stamp in Pink Pirouette and cut it out. I then made my little flower using the Scallop Punch. I then stamped the butterflies with the stamp out of the Punch Potporri stamp set and stuck them on with a dimension. I used a retired pink pirouette ribbon for where the clips go and then the new lace that is available out of the Summer Mini on 1st December. Isn't it cute......Josephine loves it.....These would make great Christmas Presents......

Regional Swap

Hi there, Here I am again with another scheduled post because today I am off to regionals in Canberra with some of my team members. This is my swap for today which is made with the gifted stamp set (also on promotion with stampin up this month). If you would like to find out more about this promotion please just click here. I have used Pear Pizzazz and Cherry Cobler as my colours and the Woodgrain background stamp. I also ran the Cherry Cobler through the bigshot and embossed it with the dotty embossing folder. I am soooo excited to learn what Stampin Up have to show us today.......

Another Christmas card

Here I am back again, well no actually I am cheating, this is a scheduled post and I have another one scheduled for tomorrow, if I can get it to work......I totally designed this card around the ribbon. I had this ribbon left over from one of the mini's last year and it is now currently on promotion with Stampin Up, if you buy certain bundles you can earn this ribbon free....Wow, right! So I had my real red ribbon which I then teamed up with Old Olive and Night of Navy. I had the bottom part of the card completed all I needed was a Stamp so I chose Welcome Christmas and the saying from Snow Swirled. I finished off with a lovely sparkly rhinestone for the star on top of the Christmas Tree......

Copied Inspiration

Well its only been a month, I would love to tell some great story of why I haven't been back but the truth is Real Life just got in the way..... But the exciting thing is I have been crafting a little bit lately, mainly at some insane time at night but that is still ok, cause I am crafting....yay for me....I am busily trying to prepare for my annual Girls Night In that I will be holding next friday nite as well as a market day that same weekend, I won't bore you will all the other things on that week as well...lol......So for all my loyal followers out there, I thank you again, and I have had a couple of requests for my scrapbooking as well, and I will get to that as well. Now the above card was sent to me for my birthday by one of my gorgeous friends and I still have it proudly on display. I was looking at it again last nite and I decided to recreate it in a Christmas Card format. The colours I have used are Olive Olive, Cherry Cobler and Whisper White with the Circle Circus & Perfect Punches stamp set. I have actually made two of these so far one with ribbon and one without. I cannot decide which I like better I think the one without ribbon would make a lovely male Christmas Card. Aren't these two colours striking together?

Birthday Beauty

The colours for this card are Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. I used my Shimmer Paint again.....have I told you before how much I love this stuff..... and the pearl rhinestones they are just so cute and so easy to handle especially the really little ones.... I stamped Baroque Motifs as my background stamp. I also used the new edge punch as well. The butterfly's are cut and embossed from the bigshot. I have been looking for where I got the inspiration for this card but I obviously didn't save it just remembered it but I no it had birds instead of butterfly's and I did see it a while ago it just been bugging me ever since to get out of my head so I has appeared here.

40th Birthday Card for a special friend.

I have fallen in love with Shimmer Paint. I have used it here to watercolour the cupcakes and the stand. I have also attached small pearls in place of the cherries on top. The card looks way better IRL. I was rushing out the door last nite to the party and realised I hadn't taken a picture, thats why it hasn't turned out so well, because I had to use the flash. I have also used the elegant lines embossing die and some organza ribbon. The colours are Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy. I mixed the Shimmer Paint with my inkers with the aqua painter and it turned out really well. I look forward to experimenting with this some more.

6 year old birthday card

For those of you who keep checking back on me, I want to say thank you, you certainly are loyal readers. I made this card today only two weeks late for my son's birthday, I think that's me at the minute running about two weeks late.....lol..... I used the colour coach to find my colours being Daffodil delight, Old Olive & Night of Navy. I must say I have reorganised everything into their new colour groups and I can't find anything. But I did get the card finished so that is a start. I think everything is pretty easy to figure out but if you need any details let me no....Have a good day....

Birthday Card

After class the other nite we had a bit of a much around with some of the new stuff, this is a card that I made but we were limited to colours and supplies. I think that it needs something else, What do you think? I like it but I am not 100% happy with it. Its not a fantastic photo either but we are having a dull and rainy day today and I just couldn't get a good photo. I hope you are getting some time to craft, if not today, over the weekend!

Girly Birthday Card

Well I finally got back here.....life has been busy...I made this for my baby girls birthday. It is just so sweet and pastel. I have used the Pretty Princess stamp set which is retiring and also Punch pals, i think it is called out of the new catty. I am very happy with how this turned out and mostly importantly my girl loved it.....Hope to get back soon to show you this month's cards we made at class.....

Emerging Technique

This was a card we made at this month's workshop demonstrating the Emerging Technique. I have stamped the background in Pink Pirouette using the En Francis Background Stamp and then clear embossed the Medallion Stamp over the top. I then brayered Basic Grey over that, which resist the embossed part showing through the lovely En Francis writing. Another favourite colour combination of mine, pink, grey and white.

Keesh's Sketch Challenge

Ok so I am pretty happy with how this card turned out. I needed a birthday card so I decided to play along with Keesh's Sketch Challenge. I know the recipients favourite colour is Blue so I decided on Baja Breeze and teamed that up with Whisper White and Kraft. Kraft being another of my favourite colours. I shadow stamped the Upsy Daisy using Kraft first and then the Baja Breeze. I also used Flight of the butterfly for the butterfly and the matching punch. I wanted to use the bow which is tied in Kraft and some old White organza ribbon which is now retired, this softened the overall effect of the card. I then added the happy birthday and there you go all finished. Oh yes, I forgot the glitter that I happened to spill all over the card and myself, so I will be glittering for a while as well.....lol......

Another Page

Well it has already been a week since I last posted, wow doesn't the time fly.....This is one of the pages I completed while I was on a roll last week but basically I haven't been in my craft room since then only to pack and unpack for class on friday nite. We had some big rain last week and a bit of a storm that went through our place, so I have been helping my DH clean up some trees and picking up sticks, such a fun job....School also started back this week so I am back into routine with less time I guess. Anyway back to the page, this was taken at sowing last year, we take sowing pictures every year with the kids in the tractor wheel so we can see them growing. It is a title page because I am just starting a new album. I used circle circus for the stamp set and the heading actually is stamped with the sanded background stamp and then put through the bigshot but it is a little hard to pick up in the photo. This is also a sketch that I followed from this months Pagemaps. Hope this post finds all my readers nice and well and finding some time to craft.

Miss Pink

Wow, me again, this blogging episode is just amazing, don't get to used to it, school goes back next week. I am pretty happy to be getting some of my scrapbooking updated. I did this page a couple nite's ago. I love these photo's, we were making daisy chains in the garden when I took them. I have used some retired DSP and the Upsy Daisy stamp set. You really can't pick it up in the photo but the flowers have been glittered with dazzling diamonds. This is one of my favourite scrap pages so far. I hope you like it as well....

Hard Page

I have had this page layed out for a while, moving things around and re placing things. It just wouldn't come together for me. This is what I have ended up with and I am actually quite happy with the finished result. I had a lot of photos and some of them weren't very good because they were a bit blurry, I always find it hard to cull out some photo's. I just have the journaling to finish and the page is done. It really is a simple layout and good one to get heaps of photo's onto a page. Hope you are getting some time to craft.....

More Scrappin

Man, I am on a roll, not only with posting a few days in a row, but also with my scrapbooking. It must be the ipod...lol....lucky no one can see me belting out my tunes and scrappin away......This is why I loooove school holidays, no routine, I can stay up late scrapbooking and don't have be up at the crack of dawn to get organised for the school day. This page uses the Simply Scrappin Kit Hoppy Memories. I just love that frog he is soooo cute. These photos were taken about 12 months ago when the kids and I would walk up the paddock and go exploring, this was one of those days when it was raining, so we put on our beanies and gumboots and headed out. I was hoping to get some more of that in this school holidays, but with the kidlets being sick, it hasn't happened yet. Hopefully this last week will see us do some fun things when they get better.

Scrapbooking Page

I had a nite of scrapbooking last nite just me and my ipod. I belting out a few tunes and happily scrappin away. This is one of my creations last nite. I used the sketch from Got Sketch. I liked this sketch as soon as I seen it, I have changed it around a bit to fit my photo's in. This DS Paper is now retired and I am a little bit sad I didn't order some more now. Oh well, lets hope there will be heaps of goodies in the new catalogue to make up for it..... The stamp set used here is Petal Pizazz and I have used my Big Shot to cut out the letters. It is meant to rain here today, so I have been in the garden all morning and I got all the mowing done yesterday (3 hours it took me), so hopefully once the rain starts I will be back in my craft room. I hope you all are getting some crafting done.....

Boys Birthday card

I made this card some time ago and just found it this morning so I thought I would post it for you. I have used Bashful Blue, Real Red and Whisper White and teamed that up with the Washington Apple DS Papers. I finished off with some silver brad and a nice real red button with some twine through it. The b is for birthday is from the Party Hearty Stamp Set. I hope you are having a great day, I plan not to craft today but to get outside in the garden. I have had two days inside with the kids, I think its time to rug out and head out today.

Christmas Card

Here is another spin off of the card that I posted before, it is made with Kraft and Baja Breeze and I have this time turned it into a Christmas Card. Total quick post today, I have two sick little kidlets who won't let me far from there side. I just snuck in here quickly to post this before they come looking for me again......

Asian Artistry

I have a friend who keeps asking me when I am going to update my blog next. Well here I am, its been on the list of things to do today and I am finally getting to it, its only 10.30. I have spent the afternoon in the garden this afternoon and gee it felt good, to get out there and potter around. Now back to the card, this card has totally been inspired by one of my blogging friends, Jean, its comes from a couple of different cards she has made one on her blog and one that I received at convention. I used Tangerine Tango, Basic Black and Whisper White for the colours and they are extremely striking together. I finally got to have a go at using our Clear Mount stamps and I no I no, I was the one saying that I am definitely a wood mount girl, but I gotta say I did love our clear mounts, so I will defiantly be experimenting with those a bit more.

Manhattan Floral

I made this card for my blogging friend Leonie who I met at convention for the first time this year. She made me a "Edward Bookmark" and sent it to me in the mail with a gorgeous card. I actually thought I had those photographed to load up here with this, but they aren't on my computer or camera, so I obviously haven't got that far yet. Anyway to show my appreciation for the lovely card and bookmark, this is the card I sent to say Thank You. The colours are Regal Rose, Whisper White and Rose Red. I have used the sanded background stamp and the Manhattan Floral Die with the Bigshot. I have then brayered Regal Rose and Rose Red over the top of the die. I got the original idea from Patty Bennett in the states. We made a card similar to this at last nites class and as the girls experienced it takes a bit of practice to get the brayering right. I will post the card we made last nite later on. Oh yeh, only fellow twilight fans will understand what a "Edward Bookmark" is....lol......

Baja Thank you card

I no that I can show this card now because the recipient just emailed me to let me no that they received. It was made as a RRAK for a group that I am part of called Stampin Up in Oz. If i did this card again, I would made the dotted panel a bit smaller. We will be making a card similar to this on friday nite at class. So yes the panel will be smaller. As you can see I have had my bow magic out in use again....lol....I no I will get heaps of questions about the white scalloped circle, it is done with the top note die in the bigshot and noooooo is it not my original idea, I seen it on a blog in the states, I thought I saved it for future reference but I just can't find it to link it up to you at the moment. I will find it and get it on here, I am just running out the door at the moment to make the assembly at school......Will be back later.....

Penant Note Cards

Here is a sweet little note card that I whipped up this afternoon. The base colours of the note cards is Kraft, this is another one of my favourite colours, I can't wait to get the matching stamp pad when the new colour renovation comes into effect. I have stuck some DS Paper out of the sweet bella pack and added a rhinestone brad in the centre. First of all, I used the background stamp En Francis to stamp the background in Sahara Sand ink. I finished off with some Bravo burgundy ribbon and twine. This isn't a great picture of the bow, but I have been mucking around with my Bow Easy today. You will definitely be seeing bows appear on my cards from now on.

A red carpet card

I made this card for a 40th Birthday we are going to tonite. The theme is a Red Carpet Event so I was looking for a stylish card and this is what I have come up with. The colours are Basic Basic and Whisper White with a Rhinestone brad for a touch of bling. I hope I don't freeze tonite because the weather is so bad here at the moment. Have a great day where ever you are....

Soccor Card

Keeping with the soccor theme, I decided to make a soccor card for one of Nicholas Friends. Shannon showed us how to do this at convention this year. I am really happy with how it has turned out and think now I have worked it all out I may as well go and make a few more. There is no stamping on this card just punching and cutting. Only a short post today, am slowly getting through the list of things to do. Leonie made one of these in pink, you can find her blog here. It looks great in both colours.

Soccor Scrapbook Page

I have been getting some scrapbooking done over the last week, which is a really good feeling. Here is one of the double pages that I started out with. I have always wanted to do this soccor ball since I first seen it, years ago, I have just added my own spin on it. I can tell you I am loving how it has turned out, but man it is a lot of work........ I have actually used some of my retired DSP for this page and one of the colours is wild wasabi, which will be back come September as part of our new colour renovation at Stampin Up! I hope you like it and are having a great day. Will try and get back here with some more pages over the next couple days...

Scallop Circle Card

Since convention, I have had a million ideas running through my head just busting to get out, I no those of you who went no what I am talking about. Well this is one of those ideas, I must say it looks way better IRL, we are having a very dark and cloudy day here and I need the flash but it is playing around with the colours a bit. The colours are one of my favourite colour combos, Old olive, Chocolate Chip & Not Quite Navy. I have used the Bigshot to run the Scallop circle and turned it into a card and then cut the circles with the Circle Scissors to match it up. I haven't pulled pocket silhouette out in a while so I wanted to use that as well. I hope you like and are getting some time to stamp into your day.....

Vintage Vogue Card

Here is a card I made for one of my friends. I just found it while searching for something else and remembered that I forgot to post it on here, thats because I forgot to photograph it first. The picture is pretty small but I have tried to enlarge it but it just goes all fussy. The colours are chocolate Chip, Soft Suede and Confetti Cream. I have used the Vintage Vogue stamp set and the pearls out of the pretties kit, as well as some soft suede ribbon. There is also lots of sponging on this card. It looks way better IRL...

Back from Convention

Hi there everyone, Sorry its been a while since I have posted on here, but life has been really busy. I just wanted to pop in here and share with you one of my convention swaps that I made as well as a couple of pics that were taken at convention. I had the best time at convention and I carn't believe that it came and went by so quickly and I am now back to the "real world". I need to get back in the swing of things first, but carn't wait to try some of the ideas that were presented to us at convention. I really just have so much flying around in side my head at the moment....lol...

It was sooooo nice to catch up with everyone again, It has been twelve months since I had since everyone, so that just makes for heaps of fun and lots of laughs. We were surrouned by fantastic company the whole time and it is always sad to say goodbye till next year. But look out Melbourne, here we come!!!!! Convention is always such a buzz, I mean seriously 500 like minded people in one room and Stampin Up are so genourous giving us stamp sets, can you imagine....lol...
This is me and Kim all dressed up for the awards nite.Me, Jenny & Katrina at the awards nite. This is Jean & Leigh who I met for the first time at convention last year and this pic was taken at one of the day sessions. I have some other photos as well but, they haven't worked out so well and I don't want to post any pics that arn't great. In the craziness of swapping I realised that I had forgot to photograph the other swap card, so I kept one to bring home and photograph it but I just need to locate it amongst all my other swaps that I have received. When I sort through it, I will get back and show you....

Manhattan Flower.

Here is a little card that I made a while ago. It uses the Top Note Die and then is impressioned with the Manhattan Flower. I wanted the impression to stand out a little so I sponged it with Pink Pirouette. I tied some ribbon and it was a really sweet and simple card. These would be nice made as a set of gift cards I think.....Now there is a thought.....

Some more Scrapbooking

Here is a page I did as a Challenge over on ESAD. I thought you might like to see it. It used the Vintage Vogue Stamp Set and the Top Note Die as a journal box cut in half. I have also used the Urban Oasis DS Paper. I am just loving that Vintage Vogue Stamp Set.....

Miss you already!

I sent this card to my friend on Monday and she has just rang to say she received it so thanks to Australia Post I can now show it on here. I followed Keesh's sketch challenge this week, I haven't played along with any challenge let alone hers for ages, It was so nice to get some stamping done. This card is for my good friend who has just moved away hence the title of the card, she has been part of my monthly card making nites as well since I started with Stampin Up and this month will be the first month without her. So I have sent her a kit by mail so she can still stamp with us and this was the card that went with it. The colours are Kraft, Pink Pirouette, Whisper white & Bravo Burgundy. This is one of my favourite colour combinations. I have used the Vintage Vogue stamp set and complimented it with the Very Vintage wheel in close to cocoa on the background. I have used the rock and roll technique on the flower and it has three layers to it. I hope you are having a fantastic day wherever you may be......

More Scrapbooking

Here are another couple of Easter layouts that I have completed. Again one boy and one girl layout. I followed a sketch from Pagemaps. I am really happy with how they have turned out. I have used the letters the same as the last page by using my bigshot. I have stamped the chickens out of the good egg stamp set. I hope you are all getting some time to craft these school holidays.....

Wedding card

Here is another card that I made at class a couple of month's ago using the Always stamp set. The colours are Kraft, Pink Pirouette, White and Bravo Burgundy. This is gate fold card for something a little different. The hearts are also blinged up with some glitter, it just hasn't shown through in the photo. I have also used the so swirly wheel with Sahara Sand ink on the kraft cardstock......have a great day.....

Birthday Card

This is a card we made a couple of months ago at class and had forgot to post it on here. I actually gave it away the other day so I thought I had better get a photo of it and get it on here. The colours are Kiwi Kiss and Riding Hood red which I have teamed up with Bella Rose DS Paper and the Pink Pirroette DS Paper as well. I have used the Circle Scissors and our circle punches to make the flower and the distressing tool to distress the flower as well.....

Easter Scrapbooking

I have started back doing some scrapbooking since we have been on school hols. Here are two layouts that I have done from Pagemaps. I have done them both the same but one for a girl and one for a boy. The girls page is using the new Sunny Day Simply Scrapbooking kit from the Autumn-Winter Mini. The boys page is using DS Paper from the Level 3 Hostess Set Hand Drawn Bundle as well as a sticker from Hoppy Memories. I have cut the letters out using the Medium Sizzlits Dies and Barry the Bigshot...... Hope you all had a wonderful easter......and by the way these aren't this years easter pictures either. I could only wish to be that up to date.......I am working on some more pages at the moment so hopefully I will have some more things to pop back here and show you.....

Tools & Beer Cans

Hey guys, I made this card the other day for my brothers birthday. I have used Basic Black cardstock for the base of the card. I then attacked a XXXX beer can with my craft and rubber scissors by basically just cutting of the top and the bottom. I then ran it through the dotty embossing folder with my big shot. What you can see on the card is actually the inside of the can the outside is stuck down. I also used a sweet treat cup to sit up on the shelf and filled it up with some screws. I hope you like it, I was so pleased with the result. By the way becareful cutting out your beer can it can be quite sharp after you have run it through the bigshot that presses all the sharp edges down....

Boys Birthday card

Well guys I hope you haven't given up on me. I sat and did some stamping last nite because my DS has a birthday party this weekend to go to. I didn't get long to play but gee it felt good. I actually got the Big Shot out and had a little play with the top note die and the dotty embossing template. I am really happy with it and have nicknamed him Barry Bigshot and I am sure we will be getting to no each other quite well in the next couple of weeks. I have used Brillant blue for my base and have rolled that with the the star roller in the same colour. I have used markers and ink to colour the rocket in with my aqua painter. The rocket is out of the Pun Fun set.....Hope your day is great.....I am off out to the garden now to mow again...... Take care till next time.....Mandyxx

One year old Birthday card

Hey guys! Well February has just passed me by.....I noticed my last post was the last day of January and I wish I could tell you that I have been stuck in my craft room for a whole month with the door shut and the do not disturb sign on the door, but I am afraid that I carn't. I havn't really even stamped for the past month or scrap booked either. So hence I really havn't had anything much to show you. I had some stamping time today and I made this sweet little card for a one year old.......The colours are Chocolate Chip, Brillant Blue and Old olive teamed up with Tall Tales DS Paper. Hopefully you will see me back here again before next month...lol....I really haven't even been blog surfing either, so I hope to catch up with all you girls that I normally visit and leave you some lovely comments this month....... I hope you are all having a wonderful day.....
