Sweet Little Girl Bleached

I love this stamp set and how this card has turned out. It is just so soft and pretty. This is the A Kind word stamp set and also Simply said for the background. For the background I have stamped in Perfect plum and then highlighted the middles of the flowers with the white gel pen. I have used the white taffeta ribbon with a lovely flowing bow to copy the flowing bows on the little girls dress and hat. And of coarse the girls dress and hat is bleached. This was another card from the weekend's class.

Bleaching your Sorrow

Hi guys, just a quick post tonite so that you don't think I have forgotten all my lovely blog readers. Man things have been busy around here, but that's just my life I guess.....lol....Don't worry I won't bore you with the details.....Now for the card.....Last month's technique class was bleaching which was heaps and heaps of fun. I loved preparing for this class seeing how all the papers changed before your eyes.....just like magic....I used Riding Hood Red and when bleached it threw the colour of Apricot Appeal. So I used a piece of that cardstock on top of my chocolate Chip base card. The stamp set I used was Flower Fancy and the sentiment out of Thoughts & Prayers. Must rush and finish tea now.....cyu....

40th Birthday Card in a hurry!!!

Hi everyone, Life has been so hectic lately that I havn't had time to post that scrapbooking I mentioned in my last post. I will get to it I promise.... I had a 40th Birthday party on Saturday night. I looked through all my cards Saturday arvo thinking I would have a suitable one in my stash but what do you no...absolutely nothing. So I quickly whipped up this card following last weeks Mojo Monday sketch. The base cardstock is Kraft and the DS Paper is Urban Garden. I used the chipboard numbers and left them plain because they matched the craft just nicely. I went to take the photo's with my camera and what do you no flat batteries....So I snapped a shot with my phone that is why it is such a poor shot, sorry bout that. Anyway hopefully I am going to find some time somewhere this week to get back to some more posting. Oh yes and it was a male birthday party if you hadn't already guessed...lol.....

Scrap Challenge 12/6

Hi Everyone this is the Scrap Challenge I set for the ESAD Group this month which comes from pagemaps. I hope you can play along as well. You have until midnight Thursday 18th June to get your entries posted to your blog or a public viewing gallery like photobucket or splitcoast stampers. Please leave your link to your entry here.
Now for my example:

I used the totally tools stamp set which I stamped on basic grey, summer sun and brillant blue and cut out. For the shelf I used a scrap piece of faux woodgrain that was sitting on my desk. I have used So Saffron DS Paper out of the Good Morning Sunshine pack as well as a strip of Night of Navy which I have scalloped with the scallop edge punch. I love the carousel notes out of the catalogue they just made this page I reckon and the colour of the note is Riding Hood Red.

I liked it so much I also made one in pink for Josephine's album. I don't always copy the same layout in each album but because I liked this one so much I did the same layout for both albums.

Here is a close up of the tools for you:

I am looking forward to seeing all your entries. Have fun with it........

Keeshs Colour Challenge

Hi guys, Sorry I have been so quiet on here but I enjoyed a lovely wet long weekend with my family and I even managed to get some scrapbooking done. I will setting another scrapbooking challenge tomorrow so you will get to see some of it and I will post some more over the weekend. Now back to this card I have been playing around with Keesh's Colour Challenge the colours were Certainly Celery, Pumpkin Pie, Pink Passion & Whisper White. Ok I totally freeked out when I seen these colours because I don't do pink & orange together. Keesh does it heaps with lots of success but I always seem to shy away from it, So I decided to give these colours a go because they were way outside my comfort zone....So I will agree Pink & orange look fab together and I am really happy with how this card turned out. Josephine was helping me when I was making this card and she bought to me her sprinkles as she calls them, that would be fine glitter to everyone else.....She just looooves the glitter, I find her in my stamp room quite often admiring my glitter, I have to remember to keep the lid screwed on real tight....lol... The sprinkles show up better IRL. I hope you are having a fantastic day.....See you tomorrow with a new challenge......

Black Rooster not Rustic Rooster

I followed Keesh's sketch challenge for this card I made this morning. I choose the Level 2 Hostess Set Rustic Rooster and coloured him with my black, real red, more mustard & old olive marker. When I was a kid, Dad & I had a prize rooster that was black, I was looking through some photo's the other day and that ole rooster is what gave me the inspiration for this card. I have used basic black cardstock & the DS Paper from the Riding Hood Red pack. I am really happy with how this card turned out. I haven't stamped it with a sentiment yet because I would like to give it to my dad I think and am waiting for an occasion, so I can stamp a sentiment at a later date. Anyways I hope you like it and are enjoying this lovely rain that we have been desperately waiting for............. For some reason this morning I carn't upload a picture of the sketch so I will have to get back to you with that one.

Thoughts & Prayers

I made this card last last week and I am only getting around to posting it today. I got the original idea off the front of the IB&C. The colours are Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss & Chocolate Chip. I just changed it around a bit. I used my markers to ink up the stamp with Real Red and Old Olive. Just a quick post today I am rearranging and cleaning my craft room. It looks like a tornado has gone through there at the moment, but once I finish it should look better. It's amazing how once you start something in one room it just creates a chain reaction right through the house....... Better go and finish..........
