Brag Book

Here is a Brag Book or Mini Photo Album that we made at last months class. It is made with the Bigshot and the Top Note Die. I seen this demonstrated at the Stampin Up Convention in Melbourne by Bonnie. I just feel in love with it then and couldn't wait to come home and share it with my girls at class. It also showcases the play date DS Paper and Accents. We made a few other things as well but I havn't got them photographed.

I hope you are all having a lovely long weekend. I have been sewing this weekend and have also done some scrapbooking as well. I hope you are all finding some time to be crafty. The weather is pretty cold here at the moment so its nice to be inside by the fire.

Another Sew Suite

I just realised these are the same colours as last time, that's because this card was made from scraps laying on my table. I have used the In stitches wheel and used my square punch to punch out a square, which was then mounted in the corresponding colour. I thought I Melon Mambo machine would be pretty groovy so I cut that out and mounted it over the white image. I stamped in Stazon on the Daffodil Delight ribbon and added a button and a saying. Don't you just love that pom pom trim around the machine. Very cute...... As you can see I am enjoying this stamp set.....

Sew Suite

Well its been a while, all I can say is Real Life has been just sooooo busy and I really have had nothing much to show you here because I have had no time to stamp my self. I just had some time to sit and play with my box full of goodies from the upcoming Mini Catty, actually no I didn't have time I just made it...lol. This is a new set called Sew Suite, the colours are Melon Mambo, Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight. I have stamped directly on the Daffodil Delight ribbon using Stazon Ink, I just think its so darn cute........ Well till next time.....Enjoy......

Scap Pages

I am just popping on here quickly to wish you all a Happy New Year for tonite and of course a Merry Christmas which has already passed. I have been super busy here on the farm so I really have not made any cards for ages. I have been scrapbooking in my spare time. I am determined to get some done so I have been leaving it out and every time I walk past I have been doing a little bit.

This is a double page layout that I have just completed. When we finally finish harvest I might get some more done. Hope all my readers are well and my thoughts are with you, all those Queenslanders out there that have been effected by all this rain. Its amazing how quickly things can change who would have thought this time last year how much rain could fall.....

Scrapbook Page

Well after another long spell from blogging I am finally back. I did a scrap page today the first page, I hope, of many now that I have started. RL has been extremely busy here, we just managed to get harvest started and have now been stopped because of the unbelievable rainfall that we have received. We pretty much had a river running through our place, I have never ever seen water like it. Anyways that is one thing that we cannot change is the weather. All the supplies I have used here are stampin up and are pretty straight forward but if you have any questions, please just ask.....cyu next time.....

Just Believe

I used my trusty colour coach for this card by chosing Marina Mist and these were the matching colours. I do like this colour combination together it is really striking. I think everything is pretty straight forward the only thing you may not have seen before is the embossing folder which is called Square Lattice and that will be available in the Summer Mini to order from the 1st December. The ribbon is still on promotion till the end of the month. Have a great day......

Black & White

Black & White are such striking colours together, I just love that classic look. I have used the black & white grosgrain stripe ribbon and an antique brad secured around the ribbon. I used the Friends 24-7 stamp set with the butterflies embossed with the bigshot and stuck them on top and finished that off with another favourite of mine, the rhinestone brads, I just love those things, they make sticking them so easy. I also used the Happy Birthday out of the Curly & Cute stamp set. I hope you are getting some crafting time in this Sunday...... Oh yes, I nearly forgot I also used some shimmer paint on the butterflies.....

Stamped Canvas

I woke to a rainy old morning this morning and as soon as my feet hit the floor I just felt like crafting. I would love to say "soooo I just crafted" but I had to do the housework first, yes boring, I no.....lol..... Anyway I have been tossing this idea around in my head for a while now. I seen these on a wall at the hairdressers ages ago. So I decided to make my own Stampin Up version of a "Girls clip board". I have sponged all over with Pink Pirouette and then just around the edges with crumb cake. I then stamped Baroque Motifs in Crumb cake directly on the canvas. I used En Francis Background stamp in Crumb Cake then stamped the Medallion stamp in Pink Pirouette and cut it out. I then made my little flower using the Scallop Punch. I then stamped the butterflies with the stamp out of the Punch Potporri stamp set and stuck them on with a dimension. I used a retired pink pirouette ribbon for where the clips go and then the new lace that is available out of the Summer Mini on 1st December. Isn't it cute......Josephine loves it.....These would make great Christmas Presents......

Another Christmas card

Here I am back again, well no actually I am cheating, this is a scheduled post and I have another one scheduled for tomorrow, if I can get it to work......I totally designed this card around the ribbon. I had this ribbon left over from one of the mini's last year and it is now currently on promotion with Stampin Up, if you buy certain bundles you can earn this ribbon free....Wow, right! So I had my real red ribbon which I then teamed up with Old Olive and Night of Navy. I had the bottom part of the card completed all I needed was a Stamp so I chose Welcome Christmas and the saying from Snow Swirled. I finished off with a lovely sparkly rhinestone for the star on top of the Christmas Tree......

Copied Inspiration

Well its only been a month, I would love to tell some great story of why I haven't been back but the truth is Real Life just got in the way..... But the exciting thing is I have been crafting a little bit lately, mainly at some insane time at night but that is still ok, cause I am crafting....yay for me....I am busily trying to prepare for my annual Girls Night In that I will be holding next friday nite as well as a market day that same weekend, I won't bore you will all the other things on that week as well...lol......So for all my loyal followers out there, I thank you again, and I have had a couple of requests for my scrapbooking as well, and I will get to that as well. Now the above card was sent to me for my birthday by one of my gorgeous friends and I still have it proudly on display. I was looking at it again last nite and I decided to recreate it in a Christmas Card format. The colours I have used are Olive Olive, Cherry Cobler and Whisper White with the Circle Circus & Perfect Punches stamp set. I have actually made two of these so far one with ribbon and one without. I cannot decide which I like better I think the one without ribbon would make a lovely male Christmas Card. Aren't these two colours striking together?

Birthday Beauty

The colours for this card are Bashful Blue, Pink Pirouette and Certainly Celery. I used my Shimmer Paint again.....have I told you before how much I love this stuff..... and the pearl rhinestones they are just so cute and so easy to handle especially the really little ones.... I stamped Baroque Motifs as my background stamp. I also used the new edge punch as well. The butterfly's are cut and embossed from the bigshot. I have been looking for where I got the inspiration for this card but I obviously didn't save it just remembered it but I no it had birds instead of butterfly's and I did see it a while ago it just been bugging me ever since to get out of my head so I has appeared here.

40th Birthday Card for a special friend.

I have fallen in love with Shimmer Paint. I have used it here to watercolour the cupcakes and the stand. I have also attached small pearls in place of the cherries on top. The card looks way better IRL. I was rushing out the door last nite to the party and realised I hadn't taken a picture, thats why it hasn't turned out so well, because I had to use the flash. I have also used the elegant lines embossing die and some organza ribbon. The colours are Baja Breeze, Not Quite Navy and Night of Navy. I mixed the Shimmer Paint with my inkers with the aqua painter and it turned out really well. I look forward to experimenting with this some more.

6 year old birthday card

For those of you who keep checking back on me, I want to say thank you, you certainly are loyal readers. I made this card today only two weeks late for my son's birthday, I think that's me at the minute running about two weeks late.....lol..... I used the colour coach to find my colours being Daffodil delight, Old Olive & Night of Navy. I must say I have reorganised everything into their new colour groups and I can't find anything. But I did get the card finished so that is a start. I think everything is pretty easy to figure out but if you need any details let me no....Have a good day....

Birthday Card

After class the other nite we had a bit of a much around with some of the new stuff, this is a card that I made but we were limited to colours and supplies. I think that it needs something else, What do you think? I like it but I am not 100% happy with it. Its not a fantastic photo either but we are having a dull and rainy day today and I just couldn't get a good photo. I hope you are getting some time to craft, if not today, over the weekend!

Girly Birthday Card

Well I finally got back here.....life has been busy...I made this for my baby girls birthday. It is just so sweet and pastel. I have used the Pretty Princess stamp set which is retiring and also Punch pals, i think it is called out of the new catty. I am very happy with how this turned out and mostly importantly my girl loved it.....Hope to get back soon to show you this month's cards we made at class.....

Emerging Technique

This was a card we made at this month's workshop demonstrating the Emerging Technique. I have stamped the background in Pink Pirouette using the En Francis Background Stamp and then clear embossed the Medallion Stamp over the top. I then brayered Basic Grey over that, which resist the embossed part showing through the lovely En Francis writing. Another favourite colour combination of mine, pink, grey and white.

Keesh's Sketch Challenge

Ok so I am pretty happy with how this card turned out. I needed a birthday card so I decided to play along with Keesh's Sketch Challenge. I know the recipients favourite colour is Blue so I decided on Baja Breeze and teamed that up with Whisper White and Kraft. Kraft being another of my favourite colours. I shadow stamped the Upsy Daisy using Kraft first and then the Baja Breeze. I also used Flight of the butterfly for the butterfly and the matching punch. I wanted to use the bow which is tied in Kraft and some old White organza ribbon which is now retired, this softened the overall effect of the card. I then added the happy birthday and there you go all finished. Oh yes, I forgot the glitter that I happened to spill all over the card and myself, so I will be glittering for a while as well.....lol......

Another Page

Well it has already been a week since I last posted, wow doesn't the time fly.....This is one of the pages I completed while I was on a roll last week but basically I haven't been in my craft room since then only to pack and unpack for class on friday nite. We had some big rain last week and a bit of a storm that went through our place, so I have been helping my DH clean up some trees and picking up sticks, such a fun job....School also started back this week so I am back into routine with less time I guess. Anyway back to the page, this was taken at sowing last year, we take sowing pictures every year with the kids in the tractor wheel so we can see them growing. It is a title page because I am just starting a new album. I used circle circus for the stamp set and the heading actually is stamped with the sanded background stamp and then put through the bigshot but it is a little hard to pick up in the photo. This is also a sketch that I followed from this months Pagemaps. Hope this post finds all my readers nice and well and finding some time to craft.

Miss Pink

Wow, me again, this blogging episode is just amazing, don't get to used to it, school goes back next week. I am pretty happy to be getting some of my scrapbooking updated. I did this page a couple nite's ago. I love these photo's, we were making daisy chains in the garden when I took them. I have used some retired DSP and the Upsy Daisy stamp set. You really can't pick it up in the photo but the flowers have been glittered with dazzling diamonds. This is one of my favourite scrap pages so far. I hope you like it as well....
